🚑 A NEW GENERATION OF EMS PROFESSIONALS STARTS HERE! 🚑

SafeTec Training Services is proud to announce the inaugural EMT class at Archbishop Ryan High School!

This innovative partnership between Archbishop Ryan High School, the Philadelphia Archdiocese, and SafeTec Training Services represents something bigger than a training program. It is an investment in students, in our communities, and in the future of healthcare and emergency services.

By bringing an entry-level career certification directly into the high school environment, Archbishop Ryan is taking a forward-thinking approach to career education. Students now have the opportunity to graduate with more than a diploma. They can earn a nationally recognized EMS credential, gain real-world healthcare skills, and open the door to employment and further education in emergency medical services, nursing, fire service, healthcare, and other related careers.

This is exactly the kind of innovative thinking that creates real opportunities for young people while strengthening the communities they will one day serve.

SafeTec Training Services is honored to be part of this effort and excited to work alongside Archbishop Ryan and the Philadelphia Archdiocese as this first class begins its journey.

Congratulations to Archbishop Ryan High School on this exciting initiative!

🚨 THIS IS WHAT INNOVATION IN EMS LOOKS LIKE. 🚑🔥

Today is a BIG day for SafeTec Training Services!

After nearly a year of planning, collaboration, and hard work, we are officially kicking off our inaugural Advanced EMT (AEMT) Upskilling Program for the Philadelphia Fire Department, in partnership with DocGo/Ambulnz!

And this is about much more than a training program.

It’s about investing in people. Building the EMS workforce. And finding new solutions to one of the biggest challenges facing EMS today — the provider shortage.

The Philadelphia Fire Department is taking a proactive, outside-the-box approach by creating opportunities for its members to expand their clinical capabilities and help strengthen the department’s EMS response.

💪 Build your people.
📚 Advance their skills.
🚑 Strengthen the system.
🔥 Better serve the community.

SafeTec is incredibly proud to be part of this initiative and grateful to PFD and DocGo/Ambulnz for the opportunity to make it happen.

Today we start. The future of EMS is already moving.

Let’s get to work! 🚑💨

Are you doing something for your patients — or just to them?

Fred Ellinger, Jr., CEMSO, NRP, owner of SafeTec Training Services, tackles that question head-on in his new article — covering failed intubation attempts, proximity bias, and the excuse that "we're close to the hospital" too often becomes.

35 years in EMS. One question every provider should be asking on every call.

🎒 WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! 📚

As students across the region head back to school this week, SafeTec Training Services wishes everyone a safe, successful, and exciting school year! We hope this year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and discover what the future may hold.

🚑 We’re especially excited to announce a new opportunity for students at Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia!

This fall, SafeTec Training Services will launch an EMT Training Program at Archbishop Ryan High School, beginning September 14, 2026.

The semester-long program will give participating students the opportunity to earn their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification while still in high school.

For students interested in healthcare, public safety, emergency services, or simply looking for a career where they can make a difference, becoming an EMT can be an incredible first step toward a rewarding and meaningful profession.

🎓 Imagine graduating high school with more than a diploma—with a professional certification and the skills to begin a career helping others.

Students will learn the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to provide emergency care to patients in some of their most critical moments. For many, EMT certification can serve as the beginning of a career in EMS, fire/rescue, nursing, medicine, or other healthcare professions.

The Archbishop Ryan program will be our inaugural cohort, with additional cohorts anticipated in the future as we continue expanding opportunities for high school students to enter the EMS profession.

We are proud to partner with Archbishop Ryan High School to help introduce students to the rewarding world of emergency medical services and provide them with a pathway toward their future.

Good luck to all students returning to school this week—and to the inaugural Archbishop Ryan EMT class, we can't wait to get started! 🚑💙
