Lovely late fall weather in Wisconsin, just right for hanging some newly dyed, cured, and washed items out for a bit of air drying before finishing them inside.

SCORE!! Major, major SCORE at an estate sale today. I purchased tons of linen and lace, took me two trips to the car🤣. Now for the scouring. Linens and fabrics used for botanical dyeing must be scoured, in the case of cottons, a two-hour wash in hot water followed by an extra rinse. The first batch is hanging on the line.Tomorrow, more washing and hanging. Mordanting up for next week.

I also dropped off some of my items at the sweet gift shop at the Cedarburg Art Museum—so honored to be asked.

Busy day!

Marigolds! They aren’t just for the annual border. I simmered these yellow marigolds for about 45 minutes, removed the flowers and tossed in some vintage mordanted lace. What a pop of summer color! Info with with photos.

Hello FB Followers-My Etsy shop is back up and running after a late spring break and trip to Paris. Both of which were great—(the break) and the trip (AWESOME!). I have some new items up and willl be adding weekly. If you are local (West Bend, Wi) and see something which you like we can perhaps arrange an in person drop.

Warm spring day, leaves beginning to pop, time for this botanical dyer to mordant some fabrics!

Greetings! The continuing cold spring has kept me out of the garden and in the house, so I have been adding items to my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/mulberryfiberart/?etsrc=sdt. Sooner or later I will be out and about searching for new leaves for my art. Stay tuned!

Many thanks to those who visited Art in the Burg in Cedarburg yesterday. Some came just to chat and learn about my process, and others purchased my goods. THANK YOU so much!

Thanks, too, for the volunteers who organize and run the Art in the Burg show, so well done.

Resting today! My goal is to have my Etsy shop (Mulberryfiberart) re-stocked and up by the end of the week.

Art in the Burg is on the horizon!

Putting finishing touches on new items for this year: diy fabric bundles and dyed leather cuts for the quilters, boro stitchers, menders, and junk journalists out there. I am also going to have some sweet little landscape art quilts as well as home dec, gift, and apparel items as in the past.

Hope to see you there, Saturday, March 21, 10-3, Cedarburg High School Fieldhouse, W68 N, 611 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg, WI 53012.
