Our final stop on the Michigan Garden and Plant Tour was Mast Young Plants. The trials were so informative and beautiful. Ranging from number of inputs used in a container (1 versus 3 or 4), to sun, shade, and breeder trials. They also have a combo contest that allows you to upload your own recipe to their website, they will grow it, and then it can be judged by visitors the following year! So fun! Chrys had an awesome trip and took part in the group photo at the end... Can you spot him?!

FYI: The trunk on that Banana Plant was as big as Chrys entire body… and it was grown from one single plug just a few weeks prior.

Look at all the Kwik Kombos, Trixis, and Verbena courtesy of the stunning comparison gardens at DGI Propagators! It was so lovely to be able to see all the different combos in one place to compare colors, growth habits, and general appearance!

Stop 6 on the Michigan Garden Plant Tour was our amazing friends at DGI Propagators! The plants looked magnificent, the grounds were beautiful and serence, and they had Chrys' fave… ICE CREAM! We were treated to a delicious dinner and managed to get the most of our crew together for a group photo… Chrys is noticeably absent… he insisted on taking the photo.

Stop 5 on the was at Pell Greenhouses, Inc. This was a self-led stop and designed to display their new 2025-26 items and how well they do in the Midwest. They call this their "Living Catalog". It was a pure delight. Their shade garden was on a fantast6ic little trail through a wooded area. Chrys was a big fan.

While on the Michigan Garden Plant Tour we made a stop at . Needless to say, Chrys felt right at home in their garden and made fast friends with the gnomes that call Garden Solutions home. The level of excitement over their new genetics was palpable, the hospitality they showed us was second to none, and the broad spectrum of color in their succulents was magnificent!

They also have chickens and donkeys. We did not want to leave.

Stop 3 (part two) on the was These display gardens did not disappoint. The second leg of the stop you find yourself smack dab in the middle of gorgeous cut flower fields. And not only were the gardens incredibly gorgeous… they housed a few of Chrys' fave things…
