Just in time for the upcoming cranberry harvest is the return of Cranberry Country Red. Enjoy the balance of sweetness and tartness in this locally inspired w**e that celebrates our region's cranberry industry.

Brambleberry W**ery is located at 234 N. Leonard St. in downtown West Salem. We're open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last call for beverage service is a half-hour before closing.

Try a guided tasting of 5 w**es for $5 (half-ounce pours) or try our self-guided tasting of 6 1-ounce pours for only $10. Either one is an incredible deal.

We also sell w**e by the glass and by the bottle.

We also serve freshly prepared pizzas, charcuturie and bruschetta.

Our w**emaker -- who is a member of the Farquharson clan -- says he wants to continue making w**e from 100-year-old vines until he's 100 years old (he's closer to that than he thinks).

Want to taste w**e made from an old grape vine? Just so happens we have our old vine zinfandel -- the Formidable Farquharson -- on our tasting menu this week.

You don't have to travel to Germany to try an elegant trocken German Riesling. Stop at Brambleberry W**ery this week and try the Caledonian, our dry Riesling that has delicate orchard fruit flavors. We import the juice from Germany and make the w**e onsite -- like all of our w**es.
