Thank you to all the community members that checked out our Squad 5 at the Town of West Seneca 175th celebration event yesterday. The kids loved checking out the Squad and trying on actual fire gear. Great conversations and education!

Union Fire & West Seneca Fire District No. 2 were honored to host the Town of West Seneca 25th 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony today. We are especially honored and grateful to be part of a ceremony that honored eighteen West Seneca Firefighter/EMS personnel that responded to New York City after the devastating attacks to assist with rescue and recovery operations. These firefighters were from East Seneca Fire Company, West Seneca Fire District #4, Reserve Volunteer Fire Co and Vigilant Fire Company, WS. These men and women did not hesitate when our country needed them most. A special thank you to Seneca Hose Company #1 for the use of your Ladder 6 with our Truck 2 to raise the American Flag above the station. Today we honored our own. We Continue to Never Forget.

🚑 Union Fire EMS Drill – Working Together to Better Serve Our Community 🚑

Tonight, Union Fire welcomed Erie County EMS to our station for a hands-on EMS drill focused on teamwork, equipment familiarization, and strengthening our working relationship.

Erie County crew members walked our members through a county ambulance and provided hands-on training with their equipment. Union Fire members had the opportunity to:

🚑 Practice using the power-load stretcher
🪑 Train with the power stair chair
🧰 Learn where important medical equipment and supplies are located throughout the ambulance
🤝 Become more familiar with Erie County EMS operations and equipment

Union Fire has been working more closely with Erie County EMS to help provide the best possible service to our community. Training together helps our crews become more comfortable working side-by-side when it matters most.

Union Fire looks forward to continuing to develop and strengthen our partnership with Erie County EMS as we work together to serve our community.
