We were delighted to welcome both prospective and existing customers to MAXSON’s Open House this April.

Over the course of two days, visitors had the opportunity to see MAXSON sheeting equipment running live in production, including the DFK, MDH, and MSS Pack Discharge sheeters. The MDH Sheeter was also showcased fully equipped with automatic splicing technology.

It was a great event with excellent discussions, demonstrations, and customer engagement throughout.

MAXSON offers a web conditioning system that integrates a penetrating roll decurler and a web steering unit to:

MAXSON offers a collator stacker design that accurately identifies pack counts as small as 5 sheets and as many as 2500 sheets without the need for marking the count by a tag. The design reduces set up time, eliminates housekeeping, and assures count reliability.

Do you sheet multiple webs of light weight papers and struggle with wrinkles?

This is a common problem if the webs have baggy centers or edges. When the webs come together, static may cause them to stick together (especially on coated grades). If a web is baggy, it stays loose within the layers. When it wraps around a roll, it causes a wrinkle.

Make sure the tension across each web is consistent, eliminating baggy edges. Next, keep the webs separated until just prior to the cutter infeed. Avoid severe wraps around lead in rolls to avoid wrinkles. Finally, add bowed rolls or add a chevron pattern to rolls where the offensive wrinkling is occurring. These designs have the effect of smoothing out the baggy web condition prior to the cutting action.
