The Kansas City heat is no joke this week. ☀️🌡️

As we get older, our bodies don’t regulate temperature or signal thirst as well as they once did, making older adults much more vulnerable to dehydration and heat-related illness.

If you have an aging parent, grandparent, neighbor, or loved one, now is a great time to check in. Something as simple as encouraging them to drink water regularly, keeping hydrating snacks on hand, and watching for signs of dehydration can make a real difference.

At Arosa Kansas City, we know that sometimes it’s the little things that help older adults stay safe, healthy, and independent at home.

We also had the opportunity to volunteer alongside the Jackson County Professionals in Aging at Giving The Basics, helping support individuals and families in our community.
