Wiers Farm

Wiers Farm Family Farming Since 1896 Wiers Farm is a vertically integrated operation, owning and operating its own greenhouses, land, packinghouse, and cooler space.

Wiers Farm has been offering high quality produce since its founding in 1896 when Henry Wiers, an immigrant from the Netherlands planted 5 acres of celery in the fertile farmlands near Willard, Ohio. Today, Wiers Farm grows over 40 different vegetables in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida and continues to try new things, expand, and improve with each passing season. Wiers Farm is a leader in food safety

and traceability in the Midwest and is constantly seeking and implementing improvement in all aspects of its operation.

Continuing our celebration of Ohio’s hardworking farmers, we’re proud to feature Caley Wiers, Food Safety Director at Wiers Farm where dedication to quality and care for the land go hand in hand. 🌾💚

Raised around agriculture, Caley saw early on the pride farmers take in their work. A pride that inspired her to build a career ensuring the food grown here is safe, trusted, and handled with integrity.

For Caley, every day brings a new mix of planning, monitoring, and problem-solving, whether she’s in the office, walking the fields, or in the packinghouse. “Watching our processes and seeing the care that goes into every product makes the workday rewarding,” she says.

Her favorite moments? When the team comes together around a shared commitment to food safety. “Seeing our crew take ownership and pride in doing things the right way makes me proud of the culture we’ve built.”

When she’s not at the farm, Caley loves spending time outdoors with her husband and son — enjoying family, fresh air, and the simple joys of life rooted in nature.

Thank you, Caley, for your leadership and dedication to ensuring the food grown at Wiers Farm is safe, wholesome, and produced with care. You remind us that food safety isn’t just a responsibility, it’s a promise to every family we feed. 🌱💛
