Business, policy, and nonprofit leaders came together in Washington, D.C. last week for Semafor's The Future of Philanthropy Summit to explore the evolving role of philanthropy in driving meaningful impact.
Our Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, Shay Mustafa, joined a conversation with Semafor’s General Manager and Head of Public Affairs, Andrew Friedman, to share Reynolds American’s perspective on corporate philanthropy and the role companies can play in supporting the communities where they live and work.
Drawing on more than a century of history in community investment, Shay highlighted how our organization’s approach continues to evolve alongside our business transformation, with a focus on building scalable programs that improve communities and strengthen local economies.
She also spoke to how we focus our community efforts through three key pillars: supporting people through essential needs, advancing prosperity through economic mobility, and investing in the planet through programs that strengthen the livelihoods of our farmers and their communities.
We’re grateful to be part of the dialogue shaping how companies can drive lasting, meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
