Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is simply holding space for someone to be heard.

It’s Saturday AND we have a long holiday weekend ahead of us, so I have a little challenge for you.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱?

Maybe the laundry waits or the garage does not get organized. Maybe you don’t answer that email. Maybe that project that has been staring at you for weeks gets another weekend off. There will always be another thing we should be doing. Another box to check or another thing whispering, “You really should get this done.”

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵?

The house doesn’t have to be perfect and the list doesn’t have to be finished. And you definitely don’t need to earn rest during your long weekend by getting everything done first.

Sometimes you need to get off the busy-go-round, leave the to-do list behind, and go find a little magic instead. ✨

I am giving you permission today to do something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with your business.

Leave the laptop closed. The emails can wait. That thing on your want-to-do list? It will still be there tomorrow.

Go do something that makes you happy.
☕ Drink your coffee while it’s actually hot.
🎶 Turn the music up way too loud.
📚 Read a book just because you want to.
🛍️ Go wander around somewhere with no real purpose.
😴 Take the nap.
✨ Or do absolutely nothing and don't feel guilty about it.
We spend so much time thinking about what we should be doing that sometimes we forget we’re allowed to just enjoy the day.

You don't have to earn a day off.

Today is the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World, which means Halloween has officially arrived in Florida.
Is it August? Yep.
Is it approximately 4,000 degrees outside? Also yep.
Am I ready for pumpkins, villains and The Nightmare Before Christmas fireworks? ABSOLUTELY. 🎆🎃
