🔨 Another Porch Transformation in the Books! 🏡✨

Sometimes the biggest problems are the ones you can’t see.

This project started with the demolition of an old concrete and block front porch that had reached the end of its life. Once everything was removed, we uncovered extensive water damage and termite damage that had been hidden for years. While those structural repairs will be completed during a future phase of this project, we made sure the homeowner understood exactly what we found and put together a plan to address it the right way.

With the old porch gone, it was time to build something that would completely transform the front of this home.

We constructed a beautiful new wood porch featuring notched 6x6 support posts, giving it maximum structural strength while creating a clean, custom appearance. The modern black aluminum balusters pair perfectly with the warm treated lumber, creating a timeless look that immediately boosts the home’s curb appeal.

To make it even more inviting, we installed LED stair lighting and post cap lights, turning the staircase into a stunning focal point after dark. We also created a temporary landing using large natural stepping stones set in decorative pebble gravel, then finished it off with landscape lighting that ties the entire entrance together.

The difference is incredible—from an aging, deteriorating concrete porch to a warm, welcoming entrance the homeowners can be proud of for years to come.

🇺🇸🎆 We’ve got an absolute BANGER for you this 4th of July! 🎇🇺🇸

What better day to showcase one of the biggest and most rewarding projects Rocket Construction has taken on!

First and foremost, we want to say THANK YOU to our incredible customers. Trusting us with a project of this size meant the world to us. It challenged us, pushed us to grow, and gave us the opportunity to learn even more while bringing their vision to life.

This wasn’t just a remodel—it was a complete transformation.

🔨 The journey began with a full kitchen demolition:
• Cabinets
• Countertops
• Island
• Flooring
• Trim
• Gas lines
• Damaged & moldy drywall
• Removed an existing window and framed it in for drywall

Next came the wall separating the kitchen and dining room, opening the space even more.

Then we tackled the dining room itself by removing flooring and trim, replacing two outdated windows with a brand-new 2’ x 7’ window on an adjacent wall to flood the home with beautiful natural light.

But the real game changer?

💪 Removing the home’s main load-bearing wall.

What started as a roughly 5-foot opening between the dining room and living room became an incredible nearly 12-foot open concept space! Installing the structural beam and opening that area completely transformed the feel of the home.

With the structure complete, we moved into the mechanical work:
✔️ New plumbing feeds for the upstairs
✔️ New HVAC ductwork
✔️ New electrical throughout
✔️ Installation of 13 recessed can lights and 4 beautiful pendant lights serving the kitchen, dining room, and living room.

After installing and finishing all the new drywall, our wonderful customers decided to tackle the painting themselves. Once that was complete, new flooring was installed by another contractor.

Then it was our turn again…

🏡 We installed nearly 100 linear feet of cabinetry, including a stunning 10-foot island that instantly became the centerpiece of the home. One of our favorite features was the custom hidden passageway built seamlessly into the cabinetry, leading to the laundry room and office—a feature that adds both functionality and a “wow” factor.

As if that wasn’t enough, we also completed one of the largest exterior portions of the project…

A massive tri-slide glass patio door!

This required:
🧱 Building a temporary structural wall
🧱 Removing exterior brick
🧱 Installing a new engineered header
🧱 Setting the new door
🧱 Re-laying brick around the opening
🧱 Closing in one of the original windows removed during demolition

To wrap everything up, we installed brand-new trim throughout the entire first floor, tying every space together for a clean, finished look.

While the countertops and backsplash were completed by the cabinet supplier’s installation team, we’re incredibly proud to have been part of bringing this dream home to life.

Projects like this remind us why we love what we do.

Rocket Construction LLC was able to step in and completely transform the unit in just a couple days, helping the property owner get one step closer to having it rent-ready again.

We removed the old carpet and underlayment and installed 800 sq ft of new high-quality LVP flooring to give the apartment a clean, durable, modern look.
