Proud moment for the Lumasol team.

Lumasol supplied the solar panel mounting structures for the solarisation of MTN South Africa's data centres, delivered by IPT PowerTech Group as part of MTN's Project Zero.

The scope covered carports, ground mounts and rooftop structures. The carports and ground mounts were custom designed for these sites. Data centre yards are tight, the ground conditions differ from site to site, and every structure had to work around live infrastructure that cannot be interrupted. So the designs were done to suit each site rather than pulled off a shelf.

Then it had to get there. Structures were shipped to sites spread across the country, each with its own access constraints and its own installation window. Every delivery landed on time. Not one Lumasol delivery held up a project timeline.

As announced by IPT PowerTech, the programme covers 23 data centres and 7.5 MW of installed solar capacity.
