Marker floats in conjunction with our contour leads, are a great tool for mapping out your location that you are fishing in. The marker float has a high buoyancy balsa wood inner, and comes with a hi-vis yellow and orange interchangeable tail piece. It also includes a 3oz and 4oz contour lead.

It's best to start with the contour lead only, to get an idea where the silty or harder/gravel spots are. From there one will clip in the line and re-cast, by also using the marker float to get the depth. Doesn’t matter how far, how deep or how many obstacles in your swim, with this kit you will always be able to get all the detailed information you need from your spot.

For best practices, carry a book with when mapping different venues. Make note of markers on the horizon and your location, to get a "3D map" of the how to bottom presents itself.
