Every strong strategy begins with a fundamental question: Why do we exist?
Before setting targets, budgets or key performance indicators, organisations must clarify:
- Purpose
- Mission
- Vision (3 to 5 to 10 year horizon)
- Values
Purpose anchors direction. Vision sets ambition. Values shape culture.
Values shape how employees feel on a Sunday evening, how clients experience your service, and whether partners trust you.
Before you ask, “What must we do?”, ask, “Who are we becoming?”
