We fabricated and fitted these beautiful handrails for a customer. We used 38mm round stainless brushed tubing. We had to draw the actual stairs and brick locations on the ground to find the best spots for drilling to ensure it would be securely fastened.

A little bolt extraction to test the patience. This was quite a challenging extraction with two bolts broken off in a really difficult spot on this GSXR1100's altenator where it mounts to the casing. All the tricks were used in the book including : welding a nut on the one bolt, welding a rod on the bolt, drilling the bolt out and eventually had to retap the one hole as the thread did not extract nicely. Eventually mock fitted the altenator and everything is lining up nicely.

Tool repair for Sea Point Hire : I received a pallet jack with a broken handle, which I repaired and reinforced with an 8mm thick steel flatbar, and then applied a layer of black primer for basic rust protection.

Customer asked me to make a new coals/braai pan for his indoor braai. Simple MIG welding job on some sheet metal that was laser-cut and bent/folded. I finished the corners with an angle grinder to give it a clean look when painted.

Customer lost a pin for a Toyota SA Hilux's tow bar. Made up a new one with 16mm round bar, with a bend and then drilled a hole for a retaining R-clip.

Did this simple extension for a gate bracket for a customer. This was done just to stop the wind from slamming the gate past the catch, and not close properly.

Sometimes you have to have a little fun as well. Got gifted a crate of rusty tools and decided to restore this Sheffield made "bobbejaan spanner". I put it through an electrolysis process first to clean of all the rust. From now on, this is my goto method -> soda-ash and a deepcycle battery on charge for 3 hours and it came out beautiful! Coated the handle with some hard enamel paint and then gave wrench head a layer of thin Singer all purpose oil.

This exhaust was in a super poor state. Sounded like a KTM's engine. So we performed some surgery by splitting the can, fix and reweld the loose parts in the can and closed it back up. Coated it with some high heat paint it it looks better than when it left the factory.

I removed an rusted weather cowl and replaced it with this newer fixed style stainless chinese hat, spraypainted the part with high heat black paint and refitted it with stainless steel nails, this should outlast the chimney itself.

Simple task : welded the 4 cormers for a aluminium sign for Post Box Solutions, Grinded them down for a uniform and smooth edge and sanded . Off to powder coating for a durable finish.
