Our winter workers have arrived in the vineyards. 🐑
At Diemersdal, even our winter vineyard work reflects our commitment to sustainability, dry-land farming and working with nature wherever possible.
Guided by our viticulturist, Gerrit Visser, the sheep are moved into the vineyards during the winter months, where they graze naturally between the rows. In doing so, they assist with w**d control, return organic matter to the soil and support a healthier, more balanced vineyard ecosystem.
It is a simple, regenerative farming practice that reduces unnecessary mechanical intervention while enriching the land for the growing season ahead.
