Gauteng community leaders were made fools today.

Regional Commissioner of Police called a stakeholders meeting at a time when communities are marching daily. The demands are clear: service delivery, the exit of illegal immigrants, and the shutdown of foreign-run spaza shops.

The meeting was supposed to have Police, Home Affairs, the department that issues spaza licenses, and DSBD at the table.

Instead?
Community leaders came. They left empty handed.
No answers. No political will. No confidence restored. Just wasted time.

Then the meeting was abruptly ended with no resolution.
When community members refused to let them walk out, they hid behind "this is a private meeting" and barred the media.

This is a burning issue costing peace and costing the economy every day they procrastinate.

I fear no office. I serve no party. I work for the people. This is Real Journalism.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has delivered an official address to South Africans regarding the planned 30 June peaceful protest.

Also speaking on the matter were patriots Zandile Dabula and Nkosikhona Ndabandaba, known as Phakelumthakathi.

The Kasi Business Network gathered youth from Orange Farm at LetSeng Mall for a business seminar focused on real economic opportunities.

Orange Farm faces major challenges: over 40% youth unemployment and many households living below the poverty line. To address this, representatives from the Gauteng Tourism Authority and Business Services Outsourcing presented practical pathways into tourism, outsourcing, and the formal economy, making it accessible to the community in partnership with Letsheng Mall.

This is business news that matters on the ground.

Lesufi Says Nothing After Receiving Memorandum

In a peaceful demonstration by March and March in Johannesburg, led by Jecinta Ngobese-Zuma, protesters marched to the Gauteng Legislature to hand over a memorandum of demands.
We spoke to Jecinta in an interview, and she said: It is sad and makes no sense that we must fight to be prioritized in our own country, and no matter what names I will be labelled, I will not stop.
Despite the outcry and statements made by protesters at the march, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi had nothing to say.
Question: What was the premier waiting for that he could not answer the protesters on that day? Could it be that he was waiting for a certain platform or media house to score political points ahead of the upcoming local elections? See less
