Most security vendors secure your systems. Strategix Security Solutions secures your business — and there's a meaningful difference.

Your threat surface doesn't stop at the firewall. It includes your ERP, your cloud infrastructure, your data platforms, your endpoints, and the people who use all of them. A security partner working with incomplete visibility of that environment will always be solving part of the problem.

Strategix is built differently. Security Solutions sits within a group that also delivers enterprise ERP and business applications, cloud and infrastructure services, and data engineering. When we assess your security environment, we understand the full technology stack — not just the security layer on top of it.

The result is security architecture aligned to how your business actually operates. Not a framework applied generically, but a strategy built specifically.

Security is strategy, not just software.

Data engineering looks different in a gold mine than it does in a trading environment. The technical disciplines overlap — but the data sources, latency requirements, regulatory constraints, and the decisions the data needs to support are completely different.

Strategix Data Solutions has worked across some of the most demanding data environments in South Africa. Mining operations where IoT sensors generate continuous telemetry from underground equipment. Global banking platforms where data quality directly affects trading decisions. Cellular networks where real-time data flows at scale. Insurance environments where actuarial data integrity is a regulatory requirement.

This sector depth matters because good data engineering requires understanding what the data is for — not just how to move it and store it.

What sector-specific data challenges does your organisation face that generic solutions haven't solved?

Microsoft licensing is more complex than it looks — and the decisions made at procurement often have consequences that only become apparent months later.

As a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, Strategix Business Solutions helps organisations navigate licensing in a way that aligns to how they actually use Microsoft products — not just how a price list describes them.

A few things worth knowing. Not all Microsoft licences are created equal — there are significant differences in what's included, what support you get, and how flexible the terms are depending on how you buy. CSP agreements often provide better commercial terms and faster access to new features than direct or volume licensing arrangements. And Copilot licencing, in particular, requires careful planning to ensure you're activating the right capabilities for your user base.

If you haven't reviewed your Microsoft licensing position recently, it's worth doing before renewal.

The threat actors targeting South African organisations are not running manual operations. They're using AI-powered tools, automated attack infrastructure, and shared global threat intelligence to identify and exploit vulnerabilities at scale.

The response needs to match the threat.

Check Point's ThreatCloud AI processes over three billion security transactions daily — synthesising threat intelligence from across its global network to identify and block emerging threats before they reach your environment. This shared intelligence model means that a new threat detected anywhere in the network improves protection for every connected organisation.

For South African businesses operating in sectors that are actively targeted — financial services, mining, energy, government — this global threat intelligence layer is a significant part of what makes prevention-first security viable.

Security built on AI-powered intelligence doesn't just respond to known threats. It anticipates what's coming.

May has been a month of foundations.

Data foundations that make AI investment viable. Compliance foundations that let businesses move with confidence. Infrastructure foundations that hold up when they're tested. Security foundations that protect without getting in the way.

None of this is glamorous work. But it's the work that determines whether the next wave of technology change — AI, automation, regulatory evolution — accelerates your business or exposes its weaknesses.

The businesses we work with that are genuinely ahead have one thing in common. They didn't wait for the wave. They built for it. https://www.strategix.co.za/

Security and infrastructure are often bought separately, from different vendors, by different parts of the organisation. The result is an environment that works on paper but has integration gaps that only become visible when something goes wrong.

Strategix Technology Solutions takes a different approach. Infrastructure design, data protection, and security controls are considered together — because the weaknesses in most environments live at the boundaries between systems that weren't designed to work with each other.

Our partnerships with Checkpoint for network security, Veeam for data protection, and VMware for virtualisation give us a coherent architecture story across the security and infrastructure stack. Not a collection of best-of-breed products bolted together, but an integrated environment with clear ownership and accountability.

For organisations that want their infrastructure and security to be genuinely aligned, that integration is where the conversation needs to start. https://strategix.digital/

Two organisations can invest in the exact same Microsoft licence and end up in very different places.

The technology isn’t the differentiator. It’s everything around it.
👉 It’s how the solution is implemented.
👉 How the data is migrated.
👉 How well the system is configured to reflect how the business actually operates.
👉 How change is managed across teams.
👉 And crucially, the level of ongoing support that turns capability into real value.

Microsoft’s roadmap is exceptional. But value doesn’t come from the roadmap alone - it comes from how effectively that capability is translated into something meaningful for the business.

After 22 years delivering projects across 60+ countries, one thing is clear:
The most successful outcomes aren’t driven by the biggest budgets. They’re driven by alignment - when the implementation partner truly understands what the organisation is trying to achieve.

That’s where the difference is made. Real value is unlocked when technology is aligned with business intent.

AI platforms don't create value on their own. They amplify the quality of what's already there.

If your data is fragmented, inconsistent, or poorly governed, AI tools will surface those problems faster and more visibly than any previous generation of technology. The gap between organisations with strong data foundations and those without is widening.

Microsoft Fabric is positioned as the unified data platform for AI-ready organisations — bringing together the data engineering, analytics, and governance capabilities that AI workloads depend on.

We've helped organisations in mining, banking, cellular, and insurance build the data infrastructure that makes advanced analytics possible. The work isn't glamorous. But it's what makes everything else viable.

If you're planning AI investments in the next 12 months, the conversation about data foundations needs to happen first.

POPIA doesn't just regulate how organisations handle personal information. It changes who is accountable when something goes wrong.

The accountability for adequate data protection sits with the responsible party — which in most organisations means the board and executive leadership. "We had an IT team handling it" is not a defence that holds up under POPIA's accountability framework.

What this means in practice is that cyber risk can no longer be delegated entirely to the technical team. Boards need to understand the organisation's security posture, the adequacy of controls in place, and the response plan that exists if a breach occurs.

This isn't a compliance exercise — it's a governance one. And it requires security partners who can communicate risk clearly at board level, not just in technical terms.

Does your current security partner help your leadership understand cyber risk in governance terms?

For organisations running complex, multi-entity, or global operations, the direction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is worth understanding — not just for IT, but for finance leadership.

AI capabilities across finance and supply chain are moving from optional add-ons to core workflow features. Copilot-driven forecasting, automated close processes, and supply chain visibility tools are becoming the default rather than the exception.

Compliance and auditability features are being strengthened continuously. For regulated industries and multi-jurisdictional businesses, this matters and the direction is clear.

The platform adapts as the business evolves — supporting subscription billing, modular expansion, and rapid scalability without the rigidity of legacy ERP. Understanding the roadmap helps you build with confidence rather than react to change.

What's the biggest priority in finance and operations technology for your organisation over the next 12 months? https://www.strategix.uk/businesscentral/

Here's what separates the businesses that will thrive over the next decade from those that won't.

It's not which AI platform they pick. It's not their cloud strategy. It's not even their budget.

It's whether their foundations are strong enough to actually use those tools.

Organisations built for what's next share a few traits. Their data is reliable. Their systems connect. Their compliance is embedded in operations — not revisited at year-end. Their security is a strategy, not a stack of tools. Their people know what the numbers mean.

Technology accelerates whatever is already there. Weak foundations plus more technology creates bigger problems, faster.

We've spent 22 years helping businesses get the foundations right. That work has never mattered more than it does now.

What's the one foundation your business needs to strengthen before the next wave arrives?
