Did you know that we have a kids pairing? It keeps the younger ones entertained while you enjoy the adult version.

Cath McCleland’s son raved about it for days, with the “yellow juice” taking top honours. The board comes with freshly baked mini pot bread, hickory ham, cheddar, grapes and cucumber paired with four fruit juice tasters 😊

Our menu also covers the usual suspects to keep them at the table, including mac and cheese cups, cheese toasties, fresh fruit plates, ice cream bowls and milkshakes.

Here’s how Cap Classique gets its sparkle and clarity.

Be prepared for a symphony of sounds in the cellar on disgorging day, like loud clangs, pops and whooshes of pressurised gas escaping.

Disgorging is the step where we remove the yeast sediment from Cap Classique after it has created its bubbles and developed flavour in the bottle.

First, the bottles are slowly turned (a process called riddling) so the yeast settles in the neck. The neck is then frozen, the cap is removed and the pressure inside the bottle pops out the frozen plug of sediment.

A small amount of w**e (sometimes with a touch of sweetness) is added to replace what was lost and to adjust the final flavour. The bottle is then closed with cork and secured with a wire cage.

Without disgorging, the dead yeast and sediment would remain in the bottle, making the sparkling w**e cloudy. Disgorging leaves you with the clear, finished w**e that’s ready to drink.

Our Kay & Monty The Chick 2022 has been awarded a prestigious Gold Medal (88/100) at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge.

This marks our 6th international medal from Gilbert & Gaillard, a wonderful testament to the consistency, vision and hard work poured into our boutique w**es.

The sun-seeker | Meet “Pretty Polly” Rosé (2024)

“The Pretty Polly Rosé is very pretty indeed with notes of rose petals, summer fruit and excellent texture.” Linda Galloway

The 2024 release is our fourth vintage of this fresh, easy-drinking w**e. A bumper crop of Shiraz shaped this year’s blend: 75% Shiraz, 13% Chardonnay and 12% Pinot Noir. Blush pink in the glass, with peaches, apricots and melon on the palate, finishing rich and velvety.

At 12% alcohol, it was made for afternoons of long lunching and slow sipping. Join us for midweek treats or weekend gatherings; our doors are open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm.
