🫖🌸 What a wonderful High Tea at Evelyn House! 🌸🫖
100 lovely tea-goers, beautiful weather, live music, spectacularly decorated tables and treats galore made for a truly special day.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, decorated, donated, organised, helped behind the scenes — and especially to our wonderful residents and guests who came out to support Evelyn House.
Your generosity, time and enthusiasm made the day an enormous success. ❤️

Remembering Peter Leroux 🌿
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Peter, who passed away last night at the age of 90, after battling poor health for a short while.
Peter and his beloved wife Aileen would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on 8 October 2026. They have been part of the Evelyn House family for the past seven years, and Peter leaves behind not only his family, but a much-loved community of friends and fellow residents.
Peter was a wonderful handyman and our go-to man for all things technical. He had a wealth of knowledge and was always generous in sharing it with our staff, patiently helping and advising whenever there was a problem to solve.
He loved his gardening, and he particularly enjoyed playing bridge with the ladies.
But perhaps what we will remember most was Peter's wonderful, joyous and unforgettable laugh — a laugh that could reverberate around the dining room and bring a smile to everyone nearby.
A large oak tree has fallen in our Evelyn House garden, and there is a real sense of loss. 🌳
Peter was a special part of our community, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Aileen and the family at this very sad time.
Rest peacefully, Peter. Your laughter, kindness and generous spirit will live on in our memories. ❤️
