Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers out there ❤️ Thank you to my beautiful children for choosing me as your mum 🥹 For growing with me as I continue to remake myself, as I continue to grow into a woman deserving of that title. Thank you to my own mum, for loving me and always being there, even at 4am in the morning for your 37 year old daughter 😉

I feel so privileged to witness women roar their babies earthside. To hold their hands, wipe their brows, witness them alongside their partners/supports as they achieve the miraculous - bringing life into the world. I will never not be in awe of the power that is required from a woman to become a mother! From conception through to postpartum they are required to strip away the maiden and remake themselves as a mother, all while holding space for another small human being brought into the world. It takes the greatest courage, the greatest strength, the greatest resilience and determination and surrender.

Always in awe. Always holding so much gratitude 💕

We often focus on preparing the birthing woman, and this is really important, don’t get me wrong! But birth partners are carrying an enormous role too and often doing so with limited preparation, education (check out for this 😉) and support. Partners are expected to provide emotional reassurance, physical comfort, advocacy, decision support and steady presence through one of the most intense experiences of their and their partner’s lives. Often while tired, unsure and deeply invested in the wellbeing of the person they love.

This is one of the reasons many families choose to have a doula. A doula doesn’t replace a partner, they support them to better support the birthing woman. Through pregnancy, birth and postpartum, doulas provide education, continuity and calm guidance so partners don’t have to hold everything alone. When partners feel supported, women are better supported, and everyone benefits.

Share this with your partner or someone preparing for birth.
If you’re exploring additional support for your pregnancy, birth or postpartum period, I’d love to chat about how doula support can help your whole family feel more prepared and supported 🥰

Have you had a doula provide support for you? How did they help you? How did they help your partner? I’d love to hear in the comments 👇

Birth isn’t something you can control—but it IS something you can prepare for 🙌
When you understand your options, you’re not thrown off course when things change, you adapt. Think flexible, calm, safe.
That’s the difference between a plan and a map. A plan writes out the ‘ideal’, it tells you (and your team) what you want when all is going well…but what happens if we end up in a different space to the plan? A map shows us what happens even when birth doesn’t go to plan a, it allows us to prepare for all eventualities.

Check out the amazing instagram page, website, game and book! And if you need support in mapping out your birth, reach out to me or a fellow birth cartographer 🙌

Go into your birth feeling prepared, informed and confident 💪

Did you use a birth map? Let me know your thoughts!

What Calmbirth couples really say after a class 🥰

These aren’t perfected or polished testimonials, they are real words (check the google reviews) from parents who walked in feeling unsure, nervous or overwhelmed and walked away feeling calm, confident and genuinely excited for birth!

Slide 6 still gives me goosebumps every time, going from nervous to feeling excited to give birth is exactly why I offer these classes 🥹

Birth preparation isn’t about doing birth ‘perfectly’, it’s about understanding your body, feeling supported as a team, and stepping into labour knowing you have tools that actually work.

✨ My next Calmbirth course in Blackheath runs April 11 & 18
✨ It’s the last class until July!

If you’ve been thinking about preparing for birth, this is your sign to stop wondering and start feeling ready. I’ve got you 🤗

Message me or book via the link in bio to secure your spot. I can’t wait to see you there!

Preparing for birth is about more than gathering information — it’s about feeling calm, confident and supported as you approach one of life’s biggest transitions.
My upcoming Calmbirth class in Blackheath is designed for couples who want practical tools, deep understanding and genuine preparation for birth.

Over two immersive days you’ll learn:
🌿 Massage & acupressure
🌿 Spinning Babies® inspired movements
🌿 Birth mapping & decision-making tools
🌿 Relaxation, breath work & visualisation
🌿 The physiology & psychology of birth
🌿 How to work confidently with induction, epidural or caesarean births if plans change

This isn’t about achieving a “perfect” birth.
It’s about entering birth feeling prepared, connected and supported — whatever path your birth takes.

✨ April 11 & 18 — Blackheath
✨ Last class until July

If your baby is due in the coming months, now is the time to prepare.
