Huge shout out and congrats to the Mal Meninga Cup Grand Final officials. 🏆🥇 The match was held at Kayo Stadium on Saturday afternoon between Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Townsville Blackhawks. The referee was Samuel Kalpakidis and the T/Js were Lachlan Ware and Ethan Brown. All from the Brisbane Rugby League Referees Association. It's a big achievement lads and well deserved from your huge amount of dedication in the off-season and during the rep season. Well done 🎉🤝🏆 Ps - great photo 📸 ✅

We’re proud to support the QRL - Queensland Rugby League Respect Month 2026!

Throughout May, Community Rugby League clubs and match officials across Queensland will be promoting positive behaviour and reminding everyone that respect — on and off the field — is essential to a safe and enjoyable game.

Referees play a huge part in setting the standard, and we’re right behind the Respect Round activities happening at games this month. We're glad to be partnering with the QRL - Queensland Rugby League and Rugby League Brisbane clubs throughout May on this great initiative.

Let’s show respect for others, ourselves, and the game we all love. 🤝
