Case Study | Solar + Battery Performance in a Brisbane Warehouse
This Brisbane-based warehouse project demonstrates how solar and battery storage can work together to maximise onsite solar utilisation and reduce grid reliance.

The system features a 100 kW solar PV installation, 110 kW Sungrow SH110 hybrid inverter and 100 kWh Sungrow PowerKeeper battery, delivering a smart and practical energy solution for a medium-size commercial site.

Two contrasting days demonstrate the value of integrated PV + BESS:
* 22 September – strong solar day: Excess PV generation was captured and stored in the battery for later use
* 23 September – cloudy and rainy: With lower solar generation, the battery discharged to support the site load and minimise grid reliance
* 822.1 kWh solar energy generated over 22–23 September 2026
* 737.8 kWh total site consumption
* 84.3 kWh net energy surplus across the two days

Since commissioning, grid imports have been significantly reduced, highlighting the value of combining PV and battery storage in commercial applications.

Estimated Project Benefits
* Annual energy savings: approximately AUD $22,000
* Simple payback period: approximately 5.6 years

This case study is a strong example of how Sungrow PowerKeeper can help commercial businesses make better use of solar energy through intelligent battery storage and energy management, combined with a simple, clean and streamlined installation and commissioning process.

Sungrow's 2026 Inverter Trade-In Program is here, making it easier to upgrade to smarter energy storage!

From 1 October 2026, eligible Sungrow inverter owners can trade in their existing inverter and receive up to $2,500 in trade-in credit towards a new Sungrow Hybrid Inverter + SBH Battery System.
