Deadly In Geelong 2026!

Kinaway is pleased to invite you to Deadly in Geelong, a business showcase highlighting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses operating in and around the Geelong region.

This event brings together Kinaway members and corporate and government partners for a morning of connection and engagement. It is an opportunity to meet Aboriginal businesses, learn more about the products and services they offer, and explore potential opportunities to work together.

Event details:
Date: Thursday 11th June 2026
Expo: 9am - 12pm
Networking lunch & drinks: 12pm - 2pm
Location: Crowne Plaza, 33 Smythe St, Geelong 3220

For our members, the showcase provides a platform to present your business, build visibility, and connect directly with organisations that are active in the region. For partners, it is a chance to strengthen relationships and engage with Aboriginal businesses in a meaningful and practical way.

We look forward to bringing everyone together in Geelong and creating a space that supports connection, visibility, and real opportunities.

Registrations are still open for the Sistas in Business Program!

This program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in business — you do not need to be a Kinaway member to take part.

Due to demand, we have cancelled the Gippsland/Morwell and Warrnambool workshops and added additional sessions in Melbourne and Shepparton.

Upcoming in-person sessions:
📍 Shepparton – Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence - Friday 12 June – 9am to 3pm
📍 Melbourne – Kinaway Office - Tuesday 16 June – 9am to 3pm

To get the full benefit of the program, participants will need to attend one in-person session and commit to a two-day program later this year. All other parts of the program will be delivered online.

Get involved, register now, and please share this with your networks so we can reach more deadly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in business.

Invitation: Setting the Direction Together - Cultural Governance Workshops!

Kinaway Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) and supported by the Victorian Government, invites First Peoples tourism businesses and cultural leaders to take part in a series of early consultation and cultural governance workshops.

These sessions are being held before the program begins to ensure the Quality First Peoples Tourism Business Program is shaped by First Peoples voices, priorities and cultural authority from the outset—on Country and in community.

Workshops held on Country will be guided by the relevant Traditional Owner organisations and cultural protocols, including who can speak for Country and the appropriate ways to make decisions together.

These workshops also align with the First Peoples Tourism Plan for Victoria 2025–2030 by centring First Peoples-led priorities to Protect culture and Country (including Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property), Promote authentic experiences, Strengthen equitable partnerships across the sector, and Invest in sustainable business growth and careers.
