Getting stuck into our latest paving job out at Gunns Plains 🧱👌
Curved paths, custom-cut borders and plenty of detail to bring it all together around the home.
It starts underneath: 100mm of clean, open-graded aggregate laid over geotextile, compacted and graded to fall away from the house. Next up is a screeded bedding layer of clean 7mm blue metal, ready for paving.
Why open-graded? The spaces between the stones let water move through the base, helping drainage beneath the pavers. The geotextile helps stop the underlying soil mixing into the stone and clogging those spaces.
Big shoutout to Roddy Sherriff on the excavator—absolute weapon of an operator! Made light work of the digging and shifting material. Cheers mate 🤝💪
