Our Board meeting today started a little differently, with the Board checking out compost being screened in the sunshine ready for Spring use. Call us if you need a bulk load or ask your local nursery for a bag to top dress the lawn or give the garden a boost!

Did you see the waste truck on fire last week on social media? A visit to our local recycling plant this week shows the message has further to spread. This load of batteries should be in recycling bins at waste transfer stations, the supermarkets and hardware store - NEVER in the yellow recycling bin at home. They wont get to the right place and they could ignite along the journey. Please help us stay safe when handling dead batteries! Find out more at: https://rethinkwaste.com.au/flammable-5/

School holidays can be a challenge - fun and family friendly (and budget friendly) can be a challenge! This week we have been trialling our extruder at Camp Clayton with the teens making clips from shredded plastic lids. Would you, or your young people like to come and play if we were to run this in a community venue near you? If so - shoot us a location and we can see if we can make it happen!

Morning spent in the Ulverstone Community Garden with these legends getting ready for our workshops tomorrow with people in both Ulverstone and Burnie! Thanks to the universe for this amazing weather!

Councils all across the NW Coast have these for free for residents to trial. Drop in, grab one and share your details so we can survey you to see if they keep your recycling in check on windy days. They aren’t usually needed on waste and FOGO where most households have enough material in the bin to minimise the risk!

ONLY 6 TICKETS LEFT FOR BURNIE AND ULVERSTONE IS SOLD OUT! If you plan to join us grab them now (they are FREE) and be sure!
