To every early childhood educator out there, today is for you 🌿

You are the ones turning ordinary moments into confidence, curiosity, and connection. The ones who show up with patience, creativity, and heart, day after day, for children who need exactly that.

Thank you for the work you do. It matters more than you know. Happy Early Childhood Educators' Day. Today we honour you ✨

No matter where you look, you're captivated by everything Brisbane Adventist has to offer.

This fly-through gives us a whole new perspective on just how special this space really is ✨

Play should never be something a child watches from the sidelines 🌿

Inclusive design is one of the biggest intentions behind everything we create. Sometimes that looks like water taps and misters within reach for little hands. Sometimes it's sandpits and sensory stations designed for every kind of exploration. Sometimes it's ramps and wide pathways that welcome every child into the same space, no separate areas, no missing out.

Every project is different, but the goal stays the same: spaces where every child can play alongside their peers, not beside them ✨

At Sanctuary Early Learning Proxima, we were given a rare challenge: bring a true nature-based play experience to a podium space, high above street level in the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. The result is a two-storey playscape built around that feature tree, connection to nature and sky, not despite the setting, but because of it.🌿

Sanctuary's philosophy is about belonging, connection, and sustainability in action, and this space brings that to life. Every level invites exploration, climbing, and discovery, proving that nature-based play isn't limited by geography or height. It just takes the right design.
This is what happens when innovation and nature come together ✨

This week is Children’s Book Week 🌿 so we asked the team to share the books that shaped their childhood.

From bedtime classics to the stories we still remember word for word, these are the books that sparked a little extra imagination in each of us. Turns out a love of stories and a love of outdoor play aren’t so different, both come down to curiosity, wonder, and getting lost in something bigger than yourself.

What book shaped your childhood? Tell us in the comments ✨

We still can’t get over the details of Brisbane Adventist College 🌿

Timber stepping logs through an enchanted garden, leading up to the water play feature on a hill. A rope net catching the afternoon light. Rope bridges and balancing beams daring little feet to cross. And tucked into it all, Zinzi the turtle, settled into her very own outdoor home.

Every detail here was chosen with intention, and it shows ✨

A home away from home, built to feel exactly like that 🌿✨

At Bask Early Learning Ellen Grove, natural timber structures, climbing trellises, and splash pads come together to create a space that feels warm, safe, and completely their own. Sandstone learning circles invite connection, while the Grow Zone brings vegetable planters and a potting bench to life.

But the real magic is hidden. Monkey bars and rope features are tucked away, waiting to be discovered only when children are ready to find them, a little surprise that unlocks as they grow.

One family, experiencing nature play for the very first time, was moved to tears watching their child explore. That is what this space is really about.

Something spectacular, built for the children of Ellen Grove who truly deserve it 🌿
