Farmhand – Dryland Cropping Property (Riverina, NSW)

A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable person to join a well-established dryland cropping operation just north of Binya in the Riverina region of NSW. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their agricultural career and learn all aspects of modern broadacre farming.
The business is a successful family run dryland cropping operation. There is currently the owner and one farmhand working on the property and due to growth the need has come about to recruit for this role. The business owners are focused on creating a safe and positive work environment with a priority placed on work life balance.
About the Role
The Farmhand will assist with day-to-day farming activities including machinery operation, crop work, property maintenance, and seasonal tasks such as seeding and harvest. Full training and on-the-job support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with cropping operations: seeding, spraying, harvest
• Operate tractors, utes, and basic machinery (training provided)
• Help with machinery cleaning, servicing, and workshop tasks
• General farm duties including fencing, shed work, and property upkeep
• Follow safe work procedures and maintain a clean work environment
About You
• Genuine interest in agriculture and a desire to learn
• Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions
• Good communication skills and teamwork attitude
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred but not essential
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Reliable and punctual
• Must have a drivers license
