Two awards. One very proud SAE team! 🏆

Last night in Melbourne gave us plenty to celebrate ahead of All Energy Australia:

🏆 Sungrow recognised SAE Group as an Outstanding Partner.
🏆 Owner and Director, Glen Ashton, was named Solar Cutter of the Year.

A huge thank you to Sungrow and Solar Cutters, and to every person who helps make SAE what it is, from our crews and support teams to our partners and customers.

These are proud moments for the people behind the work, and we’re thrilled to share them with you.

Join us in congratulating Glen and the whole SAE team! 👏

Two homes can have a similar electricity bill and need very different solar setups.

One household might use more power during the day. Another might come alive after sunset, with cooking, cooling and EV charging all competing for attention.

That is why a useful solar conversation starts with when you use electricity, as well as how much. Your roof, tariff, and future plans matter too.

When is your home busiest: daytime or after sunset? Tell us below. ☀️

Thanks for having us, Brunswick! ☀️

A few of our senior WA team were at the Brunswick Agricultural Show on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the SAE stand to say hello and talk all things solar, batteries, and energy.

We’re growing our presence in Western Australia, with SAE now servicing Perth and Bunbury. Getting out into the community and meeting people face to face is a big part of that.

Whether you’re exploring solar, considering battery storage, or planning home EV charging, our team is here to help you understand the options for your property.

Did you visit the show? We’d love to hear what you enjoyed most! 👇

Thinking about a home battery?

Here are three things to know about federal support before you decide:

☀️ 1. Your battery needs to connect to solar.
Eligible batteries must connect to a new or existing solar PV system.

✅ 2. Eligibility goes beyond battery size.
Approved equipment, accredited installers and installation requirements all apply.

📅 3. Your installation date matters.
Battery STC entitlements reduce from 1 January 2027. For the program, the installation date is when the electrical compliance certificate, or state equivalent, is issued.

A quote or deposit alone does not secure the earlier entitlement, so allow time for assessment, approvals and installation.

🔎 Get the facts from the official government sources:

Eligibility and scheme requirements apply.

Solar and battery rebates: where do you start? ☀️

Support may be available, but eligibility depends on your location, system and each program’s rules.

Here are three useful places to begin:

🏡 SAE’s Grants Hub — explore federal and state incentives.
https://saegroup.com.au/grants-hub/

🔋 Cheaper Home Batteries Program — understand the federal battery discount.
https://www.dcceew.gov.au/energy/programs/cheaper-home-batteries

📍 Government rebate finder — search for assistance in your state or territory.

Before you decide, check eligibility, installation requirements and whether different incentives can be combined.

Save this post for your research, or share it with someone considering solar or a battery.

Waiting until 2027 could mean a smaller upfront discount.

For the example shown, that difference is $1,223.80 in STC discounts.

Make this the week you get your plans moving. Request your quote and check available 2026 installation dates, with time for assessment and approvals.

This price is based on an example of: 10 kW solar + 20 kWh usable battery, solar zone 3; late 2026 versus Jan–Jun 2027 installation.

Thinking solar or a battery? Now is the time to understand what you could save.

Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) can reduce the upfront cost of eligible systems. From 1 January 2027, entitlements reduce.
