Meet Our Farm Animals – A True Farmstay Experience

One of the special things about staying with us is the opportunity to connect with the animals and enjoy the simple pleasures of farm life. 🌿

Come and say hello to our friendly miniature goats, alpacas, Highland-cross cattle, sheep and horses. Visit the hen house to collect your own fresh eggs for breakfast, and take a moment to enjoy the ducks paddling on the pond, along with the wonderful birdlife and wildlife that call our farm home.

You have to love this post a celebration of one of our local businesses building community and keeping our local narrative of sharing produce alive and well

The peeling has officially begun, and the Spreyton Community Limoncello is underway. You lot dropped off 340kg of lemons in just one week, so this weekend Shiv, our Beverage and Craft Production Manager, roped in our MD Grant Langworthy and Marketing Manager Cathy Dalton to help. Three people, a whole lot of lemons, and 231 kgs later, those peels are now soaking in alcohol, doing their thing.

The whole place smells amazing right now, like a lemon grove on a summer’s day. 109 kg to go.

To everyone who raided their backyard trees and dropped off a bag, box or bucket of lemons, we thank you. We knew our community was generous, but this blew us away. What a spirit you all have, and soon you’ll be able to taste it.

We will keep all our lemon growers in the loop as it comes together, and we’ll let the community know when the big launch day is locked in. Stay tuned!

P.S. We’re officially lemoned out! Thanks so much, but we have got all we need, unless you want to come and hlep us peel, we won’t say no.

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 & 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆

I hold weekly art classes, for various ages, at Rubicon River Arts, 21 George St, Latrobe.
My students enjoy being taught techniques in using multiple mediums including, watercolours, gouache, acrylics, pen and ink and graphite. How to combine several mediums into a work including using mediums like pastels and water colour pencils.
As a photographer, I photograph Artist’s work, ready to enter competitions and for digital portfolio use.
I provide matt cutting and advice in finishing off your artwork ready to hang.
I am considering holding an evening class if there is enough interest.
