Wyndham Learning Festival 2026 is launched!!

As an ambassador for the festival [sporting the awesome festival tee!] Emma couldn’t have been prouder to be there. Gihan Perera’s WYNtalk was exceptional.

Gihan highlighted why we all need to be lifelong learners, sharing a great line from Alvin Toffler, ‘the illiterate of the 21st century won’t be those who can’t read and write, but those who can’t learn, unlearn and relearn’.

He reframed AI as an “intelligent assistant” rather than “artificial intelligence”, acknowledging it can help us, but a human always needs to be in the loop.

Emma’s 9yo son was engaged for every minute of the talk, and he was super chuffed in the foyer afterwards when Gihan called him a “future leader.” [Insert super proud mum moment here!]

The Wyndham Community and Education Centre do an incredible job pulling a festival of this size together, year after year.

The festival runs 1 to 7 September, with free events across Wyndham for all ages and interests. Our EQ Leaders event for senior leaders is on 1st September.

We couldn't be in the business of making teams great if we didn't have our own team of A-listers.

But having external recognition is special, and EQ Leaders has been announced as a finalist for the Excellence in Education and Training award at the 2026 Business Awards.

And we are THAT [bluddy] proud of our team!

What most people don't see is aaaaalllll the less-than-glamorous moments that sit behind a moment like this. The cold early starts at the paddock… mud and freezing fingers….. super long days finishing in the dark.

The care that goes into every program, every participant, every horse. The willingness to keep asking how we make this better, more human. This work only happens because of the people who show up to deliver it, again and again.

Even now, after years of shifting leadership for good, we still get to do this alongside people who genuinely care. About the work, about our clients, about the community we reinvest in.

So this one is for our brilliant team. Cristy, Kelly, Helena, Lukas, Lyn, Andy, Georgia, Spencer and every single person who shows up to make this what it is. Thank you for being the reason we're here.

Congratulations to all of the wonderful and deserving finalists. It's a good field to be standing in. Looking forward to the awards in October!

The Wyndham Learning Festival is a highlight of our calendar, with so many of Wyndham City's most talented people and businesses offering opportunities to come together and learn.

Proud to be an ambassador of the Wyndham Learning Festival 2026, and even more excited to have applied to run two EQ Leaders events this year.

Here's why being a Social Traders Australia Social Enterprise matters: Stable Steps brought together a group of incredible women from migrant backgrounds, building confidence, skills and real pathways into employment in the healthcare sector.

Working alongside our horses, participants strengthened the things that matter most: communication, trust, teamwork and the belief that they belong.

The results? Participants have already secured employment in the healthcare sector.

This is what happens when organisations come together to remove barriers and create real opportunity. So proud of every woman who stepped into something unfamiliar and gave it everything. 🐴
