Who remembers these beauties from the 80’s 90’s??

I remember them in kindergarten, haven’t seen one for a long time…

It was the best thing in the playground, on par with the metal slide that would burn the back of your legs in summer of course ! but we didn’t care.

Big cleanup at the track♻️🏁

A big shoutout and congratulations to Wally, Daniel and John, the new owners of the racetrack. It’s great to see the passion and effort going into bringing the facility back to life, and we’re proud to be able to help out with the cleanup and recycling side of things.

Motorsport venues go through a lot of tyres, so making sure they’re removed and recycled properly is something we take seriously.

Looking forward to seeing the track buzzing again soon 🔥 🚙 💨 🛞 Victorian Motorsports Park

Join the Rubber Recycling team at Laverton North, VIC as a tyre collector and tyre fitter, with opportunities to obtain an HR Driver licence through our organization.

We are seeking the right person to start immediately.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Manual loading and unloading vehicle following company standards
Sorting scrap tyres into grades
Following daily tasks with direct communication with the Collections Manager
Lodging EPA waste tracking information into EPA portal
Removing and replacing tyres
Assistance with general warehouse work

Saturday we had our first tyre fitting competition
to give back to our wonderful customers and the hard working fitters, it was a fun filled day with lots of adrenaline and laughter 🤭

Special thanks to Corghi for supplying Rubber Recycling with 2 brand new tyre fitting machines for our event.

Congratulations to all participants! nearly every single one of you fitted a tyre in under 3 minutes which is phenomenal and you should be so proud.

Some had a few slip ups, I’m sure the nerves played a big part, but we hope you all had fun 🤩

Merry Christmas 🎄

In recognition of the past year and the support you have shown us, we have decided to give back to the community and run a tyre fitting competition.

The event will match the best tyre fitters against each other, with the fastest fitter winning a cash prize of $2500 and their respective store receiving a complimentary tyre collection (value up to $1500).

Each store can enter two fitters, so be sure to choose wisely.

The event will be hosted at our Laverton North facility on Saturday the 14th from 12:30 pm, with the competition commencing at 1 pm.

You must be an existing or past customer to enter, with entries capped at the first 30 businesses to respond.
