A pattern we see in almost every finance team running Employment Hero (KeyPay):
Month-end rolls around. Someone exports the pay run data. Someone else pulls it into Excel, builds a pivot, formats it into a slide. The leadership team reviews payroll cost from a deck built off data that's already two weeks old.
Then a director asks a follow-up question: payroll cost by cost centre, or leave liability by team. Back to the export. Back to Excel. Same person, same model, same laptop.
Next week we're running a live walkthrough of the Employment Hero (KeyPay) β Power BI integration that ends this cycle:
- A one-way sync pulls 25+ tables straight from KeyPay into Power BI, no exports
- Pay runs, employee records, timesheets, leave balances, cost centres, all available as a live model
- Refresh on a schedule you set, so the report your CFO opens on Monday reflects Friday's payroll
- Dashboards your whole team can use, instead of one person rebuilding the model each month
If you've ever exported a KeyPay pay run and pasted it into Excel, this one is worth 30 minutes.
