There’s so much being researched and discussed about Menopause; it becomes more and more complex. I appreciate the attention it gets and the deepening into physiological changes and shifts; the understanding on the western scientific level.
What I don’t like about it is that so much of this research is bent and made into meaning that something is wrong about this transition and something has to be done about it.
Hello ?!
The female body is wired for this, this Rite of Passage into Menopause.
It’s a natural process.
There is a reason that the female body ceases to be fertile, to not spend anymore energy on the moon cycle of building up blood tissues in the womb, releasing an egg into it and then mostly shedding it all again.
( there are so many women who actually don’t do that anymore out of choice - but more about that another time )
What is happening here?
How can this transition be met, how can she, the body be met, how can you meet yourself with more and more curiosity, acceptance and love ?
How can you pause more often; allowing the emotional and/or the physiological and/or the feeling experience in this moment to have room to breathe; the heat to burn and to cool again, the trembling to arise and sink again, the sweat to pour and dry again … the dark to pull you in and embrace you ….if you can just allow it… a little bit more, a little bit more often?
How can these waves that are with you, or with your wife, your sister, your husband, your colleague; how can these waves become a guiding light into life and possibly into the dark?
A guiding light into the dark of the body and the subconscious and its experience of metamorphosis.
The pause.
The cocoon.
Menopause is an evolutionary process.
The woman going into it is meant to be different than the woman coming out of it.
In my work I offer spaces to dive into the dark, into the pause and be ‘protected’ from the business of life as usual.
It’s important.
Maybe you do that easily for yourself, maybe you have a very easy ride anyway.
But if not I strongly advocate for support, being in company of other women, womanly outings, hang outs to share and be.
If that’s not enough or not available I’m offering 1:1 sessions; working directly with the body, the nervous system and voice dialogue -
Please reach out 🖤
( there are still 2 subsidised 5 session packages for women who need it on offer to be started this month)
And I’m creating a yearlong program for which there will be introductory seminars very soon.
It’s based
On the pause,
On caring for the body,
On safety and connecting,
On inquiry and curiosity,
On Rite of Passage and the journey of the soul,
On extending capacity to be with it all,
On birthing into the wisdom and splendour of this second spring naturally, courageously, willingly maybe outrageously, maybe triumphantly… but certainly becoming more authentically, unapologetically YOU.
