Highlights from Tuesday, 27 October 2026

A new era began as Walead “Wally” Abdelwahab of BrushedReno took over as President and introduced his new Leadership Team.

Courtney Nguyen of Liberty Property Centre delivered an informative education session on a new feature in the BNI app: BNI+.

This week, we added a Halloween twist to our weekly presentations, also known as the 60-second pitches. Everyone put a lot of thought into their pitch—well done! The standout and winner of the Golden Mic was Peter Fenech of Fenech Plumbing & Gas. Congratulations, Pete!

Our feature presenter was Wally of BrushedReno. His presentation gave us much more insight into what he does and who he is.

Thank you to our two substitutes this morning: Nicole Chadszinow, who filled in for our charity member Vicki Wilde of Karabi Community & Development Services, and Xavier She, who filled in for Prithvi Chand of CI Lawyers.

To learn more about BNI and BNI Sensation Parramatta, please contact Sharon Capizzi on 0408 652 699.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, 10 November 2026. There will be no meeting next week because our Charity Collective Golf Day is taking place on Friday, 6 November. To find out more about the Golf Day, please call Sharon on 0408 652 699.

Weekly Highlights from BNI Sensation — 13 October 2026
Weekly Education
Courtney Nguyen of Liberty Property Centre introduced us to Social.Plus, a new tool coming to the BNI Connect app. It’s being trialled in New Zealand first, before rolling out to the United Kingdom and then the rest of the BNI network.
Social.Plus is BNI’s community and messaging platform, designed to support member interactions, content and communication alongside its meeting management tools.
Golden Mic
Congratulations to Sharon Capizzi of She’s Sew Creative, who delivered the best pitch of the week!
Sharon shared how a pair of slip-on shoes quickly became slip-offs—and how she solved the problem by hand-sewing elastic inside the heel to create an ankle strap. Her prop helped bring the story to life.
Feature Presentation
This week, we switched things up with Speed Networking instead of a Feature Presenter. Members paired up and answered a simple question: “Tell me one thing about yourself that no one in the chapter knows.”
One visitor called it “the most valuable” part of the meeting. We plan to bring Speed Networking back as our Feature Presentation every six weeks or so.
Lucky Draw
Congratulations to this week’s lucky draw winner, Courtney Nguyen of Liberty Property Centre, recognised for bringing a referral or visitor to the chapter.
