Looking to grow your business and get in front of the right buyers?

At Yarpa’s Meet the Buyer, First Nations suppliers will be strategically matched with buyers from major organisations across construction, infrastructure, government and industry - including organisations such as John Holland, Lendlease, Ausgrid, BMD, Transgrid, Liverpool City Council, Campbelltown City Council and more.

These targeted conversations give suppliers the chance to put their business forward for relevant opportunities, build genuine relationships with procurement teams and better understand what buyers are looking for now and into the future.

For the right business, one conversation could open the door to an opportunity that changes everything.

If you’re a First Nations supplier ready to make meaningful connections and explore new opportunities, register your interest today.

The Yarpa team recently attended Western Sydney Business Connection’s Meet the Buyer 2026 at the TAFE NSW Construction Centre of Excellence.

The event brought together Western Sydney businesses, major buyers and industry service providers for targeted one-on-one conversations about upcoming procurement opportunities.

It was great to connect with businesses and decision-makers who are committed to strengthening local supply chains and creating new opportunities across Western Sydney.

Thank you to Western Sydney Business Connection for bringing the business community together for an afternoon of meaningful connections and conversations.

Welcome back Mariah! We asked Mariah some big questions about herself so that you could get to know our newest Business Coach at Yarpa.

You're back at Yarpa after being part of the team previously. How does it feel to be back?
"I am very excited to be back at Yarpa and part of the team. I feel very fortunate to be back here. Yarpa has grown so much over the last couple of years, and it's a place I am incredibly proud to say I work at. I think it's a real testament to the team and the work we do. I am looking forward to being part of that again and seeing all the positive outcomes we are yet to achieve."

What are you looking most forward to in your role as a Business Coach?
"I am most looking forward to meeting new businesses and continuing to support our people to grow. I am really passionate about creating opportunities for our mob, helping people work towards their goals and being there to support wherever I can."

What is your all time favourite song?
"Blue Monday by New Order"

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
"You can't always control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond to it" - Mel Robbins

"It's a good reminder that there are always going to be ups and down in life, but you are in control of your own happiness.I highly recommend the book 'The Let Them Theory' by Mel Robbins for a good read on this!"

Should members book a coaching session with you?
"Absolutely! I have been a business coach for a number of years now, and what I love most about it is connecting with people, especially our community. I am really passionate about helping our mob go places, reach their goals and aspirations, and create opportunities for themselves and their businesses. If I can play even a small part in helping someone get there, that's what fills my cup."

At Yarpa, we believe that business is about people.

It’s about relationships. Trust. Connection. And having the right people around you as you build, grow and navigate the challenges that come with running a business.

That’s why our work goes beyond programs, workshops and business advice.

We’re here to listen, connect, support and walk alongside First Nations businesses because strong businesses are built by strong people and strong relationships.

Business is about people. And people are at the heart of everything we do.

We Will Walk With You.

0% of the First Nations businesses we currently work with are second or third-generation businesses.

That means the businesses we support have been built from the ground up — by people who have taken an idea, backed themselves and worked tirelessly to create something of their own.

And that matters.

Because when you’re the first generation building a business, you’re not inheriting decades of experience or wealth, established networks or a roadmap from those who came before you. You’re creating that pathway yourself.

That’s why access to free business coaching, programs, workshops and networking opportunities is so important.

At Yarpa, we’re here to help First Nations businesses build capability, make connections and navigate the challenges that come with growing a business.

Because the work being done today isn’t just about building a successful business now.

It’s about creating something that can grow, endure and open doors for future generations.
