The Gold Medal winning Elmswood Estate 2014 Merlot is a captivating w**e that embodies the essence of the . In the glass, it presents a deep ruby hue, hinting at the richness within. The nose is inviting, with aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and a touch of dark chocolate, intertw**ed with subtle hints of vanilla and spice from oak aging.

On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, offering luscious flavors of dark fruit, complemented by notes of mocha, cedar, and a touch of earthiness. The tannins are velvety and well-integrated, providing structure and balance, while a vibrant acidity adds freshness. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering flavors of ripe berries and a gentle spice. This pairs beautifully with roasted meats, hearty stews, or rich pasta dishes, making it a versatile and delightful choice for any occasion.
