One rejection.

Yet that's exactly what happens.

Someone who was confident last month suddenly starts saying...

"Maybe I'm too old."
"Maybe my skills aren't relevant anymore."
"Maybe nobody wants someone like me."

No.

One recruitment process does not determine your value.

I've seen incredible candidates miss opportunities because there was already an internal applicant.

Budgets changed.

Decision makers changed their minds.

Sometimes it has absolutely nothing to do with capability.

But when we keep talking, they admit something else.

Every Sunday afternoon feels heavy.
Not because Monday is busy.
Because they're returning to a job they've quietly fallen out of love with.

Here's the thing...

Not every uncomfortable feeling means you need to resign tomorrow.
Sometimes it simply means you've changed.

The role that challenged you three years ago may no longer challenge you today.
The workplace that once suited your life may no longer align with the person you've become.

Too many professionals ignore that feeling because they're grateful for the income, the security or the flexibility.

And while those things absolutely matter...

So does waking up feeling like you're living your own life, not someone else's.

Before making any big decisions, get curious.
