From poverty in Peru to leading a global movement in emotional intelligence, my journey is living proof that where you start doesn’t define what you’re here to create.
I was born into poverty in the mountains of Peru. At five years old, I was adopted and flown across the world to Toronto, Canada. I started as a scared little girl who didn’t speak the language, didn’t understand the culture, and didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere.
I learned to survive quickly. Like many high-achieving women, I worked hard, I blended in, and I smiled through the pain.

But deep down, I carried the weight of abandonment, loss of identity, and feeling uncomfortable in my own skin.
I didn’t know it at the time, but those early years of struggle were shaping the very work I do today.
My story, featured in The Gift in Adversity alongside Jack Canfield, Dr. John Demartini, and Michael Beckwith, isn’t just a story of overcoming trauma, it is about transforming it into power, purpose, and service.
Eventually, I moved to Australia with nothing but a deep desire to create something more. Over the next nine years, I committed to growth. I earned a scholarship to research emotional intelligence at the PhD level, lectured at the University of Western Australia, worked in corporate leadership and strategy, and became a best-selling author, keynote speaker, and coach to women across the globe.
But behind every achievement is a deeper mission. I am here to help women like me stop performing and start thriving.
To support high-achieving women in releasing burnout, emotional reactivity, and over-functioning, and to reconnect them with their power.
Because success should never come at the cost of your nervous system. And leadership should always be built on self-awareness and integrity.
Today, I lead The EQ Academy, a transformative space where women master the one thing that changes everything, their emotions.
Through emotional intelligence, nervous system regulation, feminine embodiment, and deep inner work, I help women shift from simply managing their lives to truly leading them, in love, business, and every space in between.
