If you're in healthcare and growing by hiring someone every time you win a client, you're not actually scaling.

Here's what we see all the time before we come in:

πŸ“ˆ Growth that doesn't help you
Every new client means another hire.
Margins don't improve, costs just climb.
It's linear growth, not the scalable business you actually want.

πŸ”§ The gaps holding it back
Phone systems that don't work properly.
A CRM that isn't pulling its weight.
Customer experience and follow-ups slipping through the cracks.
No AI layer telling your team what actions and follow-ups are needed.

The pieces that make a business genuinely scalable, and make clients love you, are almost always missing. And we know how to fix them, because we've done it across healthcare already.

πŸ“ We partner with ambitious, operationally heavy businesses to turn operational chaos into operational excellence. Follow along.

Most people build what they’re asked for. The good ones figure out what you actually needed.

Meet Anas, our new Product Owner. He came to us from the freelance world, where the only limit was how many hours exist in a day. Now he’s got a team behind him and a lot of opinions about scoping.

AI or just buy the software? πŸ€” Our co-founders Jake and Joseph tackle a question we get all the time.

The world's default right now is "I have a problem, let AI solve it." But that's not always the smart move πŸ‘‡

πŸ› οΈ Sometimes the tool already exists.
Set up something like Deputy properly and an open shift gets filled in minutes.

You could spend four weeks building an AI tool to do that, or just use the software that already does it.

The real decision: build with AI, or buy the tool that already solves it?

πŸ”— Products are building AI in themselves
They know their product best, so they're adding AI features to spot schedule gaps and no-show patterns early.

Many also connect beautifully with AI, so you can do it both ways.

πŸ“± Stop running your business off WhatsApp
Messenger and WhatsApp were never built for work.

You might get by with five employees, but you've merged personal and work into one messy space.

Move to a proper platform and everything gets systemised, with work and personal finally separated.

We're all still impressed by the wrong thing with AI πŸ‘€

Everyone shares the "look what it can do" moment. And fair enough, GPT-6 Astra just dropped and it's wild.

But the more you play with it, the less interesting "what it can do" becomes, because the answer is basically "anything" now.

The question that actually matters: now that you can make almost anything, what's worth making?

The tool has no opinion on whether an idea is good. It'll build a hundred things nobody needs, instantly. That judgment is still entirely on you.

For years the edge was being able to do the thing. Now everyone can. The edge is knowing what's worth doing.

Jake had a play with this today on something we've wanted to do at Jiffi for ages πŸ‘‡

When businesses come to us about workforce management, it almost always comes down to two things πŸ‘‡

πŸ’° Controlling labour cost
- For service businesses, labour is a huge chunk of the P&L
- Even small margins there add up fast
- Accurate time tracking matters. When staff control their own hours, a few extra minutes creep in and blow out at scale

πŸ“… Forward planning
- How do you forecast your labour needs months ahead?
- Australia's lucky, most industries give workers plenty of notice
- But seasonal trends are always there. It's winter, so sick leave is spiking right now

Get those two right and workforce management stops being a headache and starts being a lever

The controversial truth no one wants to say out loud: most business owners don't actually know what's causing their pain πŸ‘€

Here's what Jake's getting at. When a business comes to us, they usually arrive with a problem already diagnosed. "This is what's wrong, fix this." But that's almost always a symptom, not the source

The owner is managing from a higher level, so they see the effect, not the root cause. And if you solve the symptom, the real pain just resurfaces somewhere else

That's why we go deeper before we fix anything. A tech audit, a session with the team, digging into where the pain actually starts. You solve it at the source, and the solution trickles all the way up

It's how we take a business from chaos to clarity, getting to the real problem instead of chasing the obvious one

Everything built with AI looks like it was built with AI πŸ˜… Same fonts, same layouts, same generic polish

So Jake went a bit obsessive about solving it.

The rule we live by: we don't put anything in front of clients until we've tested it on ourselves first. That's how Palate was born. Jake personally rated 2,000 websites to understand what actually makes design good, then built a tool that stops AI output from looking generic.

Now we use it on every landing page we build, and businesses can come and use it too.

That's the whole philosophy in one example. Don't take the shortcut. Go deep on the problem, and you end up building something that actually benefits your business and everyone else's.

What actually happens when you work with Jiffi? πŸ‘€

Meet Jake and Joseph, our co-founders, walking through exactly how we work with a business from day one.

It starts with listening. Before we suggest a single thing, we sit with you and your team to truly understand the business, the people, and where the real pain is. It almost always turns out to be bigger and broader than the first problem you came to us with.

From there we build in layers of confidence. A detailed plan of everything we could tackle, paired with some quick wins to get runway on the board. Then a short project to prove we can execute. Then a genuine long-term partnership.

Because every business hits those plateaus, the moments where you're growing, then stuck, growing, then stuck again. Usually it's an operational gap or a tech gap holding you back. That's exactly where we come in.

You don't just walk away with a solution. You walk away with a partner in technology who's there for the next stage of growth, and the one after that.

πŸ“ We partner with ambitious, operationally heavy businesses to turn operational chaos into operational excellence.

The thing no one in software wants to talk about: prices are rising way faster than inflation πŸ“ˆ

Take Xero. Its most popular plan has gone up around 40% in three years. That's not a cost of living adjustment, that's a strategy

Here's what's actually happening. A lot of these platforms have hit scale in their market. They've signed most of the customers they're going to sign. So the only lever left to grow revenue is to charge the customers they already have more

You're not imagining it. Your software bills are climbing for a reason, and it's not going to stop on its own

Worth knowing where your money's actually going πŸ‘‡
