I love the Historic Leyburn Sprints brand.

It has stayed true to it’s logo and style; building on it year after year with varying colour, but always keeping the OG signature red and blue in their base merch.

We’ve attended quite a few of these since our arrival in Southern Downs 9 years ago and I am glad I took the trip out there today again. It is a superb event.

Had fun helping my sister rebrand her gift shop in Strand, Western Cape, South Africa … from 16 000kms away.

She had fun coming up with her own logo for Purple Hen Lifestyle and I had fun packaging up a little video to connect her old business name with her new one.

I can’t wait to visit her and shop in that store 😍 It looks amazing 😱 I’ve not been back to South Africa for 5 years now, so I have not seen the shop at all 🫣 yet I help with all her social media based on photos and videos they send through. It’s all so easy these days with global connection. 🇿🇦🇦🇺

The Freestone Community & Hall display has become a fabulous favourite of ours during the Jumpers and Jazz in July festival, but we’ve never sat for breakfast until today (always on the move).

What a great morning out there with car clubs, fire drums, markets and running into another long-time Warwick friend of ours, Tracy and her muso-hubbie Phil. Trac was my first boss when I arrived in town fresh off the African continent. I credit her with my love for our region - she’s infectious that way. 🥰

Anyhoo - if you missed breakfast today, you can grab a wonderful morning tea at the hall from Monday to Friday next week whilst you admire the display.

Nothing like a festival full of vibrant content to dust off my creative brain. And no better place than my old love, Black Dolphin, to start sharing the joy of creating again.

For the 9 years I’ve lived in Australia, I’ve experienced as many Jumpers and Jazz in July festivals. Queensland’s quirkiest yarnbombing and jazz winter festival 🧶

My friend Karina over at the Warwick Art Gallery coordinates the internationally supported Tree Jumper Exhibition, always has a killer exhibition lined up (loving the light effects) and the garden in this video will erupt with colour for their Artisan Market!

Our town hall and local churches dress up too and become the backdrop for markets, music more.

Our main street will close for traffic to host a suitcase rummage, a regional feast of local food flavours and a massive vintage auto display.

There is a massive program of events and more incredible art to see … it all starts tomorrow and I might spam this page (a little) with all the pretty things!

After all of thát…the only thing I really want to say is: HOW CUTE IS THE ENDING OF THIS VIDEO!?!? 🐬😍

Back in March, I shared a post '5 Ways to learn new career skills for free during the COVD-19 crisis'. 6 Months later and the crisis is not showing any sign of waving us goodbye and I wonder, what have we all be up to?

I for one, took the plunge to enrol in a Grad Cert in Marketing at RMIT University, with the view of completing a Master of Marketing. Part of the fun has been to develop a new product and create a marketing plan for it. It's been a heap of fun and I have used one of my passion projects, Southern Downs Living QLD as my guinea pig :)

I always warned my clients, that if I show up with a photographer for your brand campaign shoot and you don't move quick enough, you WILL become a part of the photoshoot.

Should've listened to my own advice. ;)
