Having a lot of policies doesn't automatically mean an organisation complies with the NDIS standards.

What actually matters is whether those policies are relevant to what the organisation does, whether staff understand them, and whether they're genuinely being implemented day to day. That combination supports a sustainable, well-governed provider, not the size of the folder.

Mandatory registration requirements for SIL commenced from 1 July 2026, with different transition pathways depending on the provider's circumstances. If your organisation was already delivering SIL before that date and hasn't registered yet, there's a specific pathway that applies to you.

Providers in this position can keep delivering SIL while their registration application is assessed, as long as that application is lodged by 1 October 2026. Providers who don't apply by then will need to stop delivering SIL until they're registered.

It's worth understanding exactly where your organisation sits in this before the date arrives, rather than assuming the details apply the same way to everyone.

If you're not sure whether this applies to your organisation, that's worth checking properly.

Reflecting on a fantastic day at the WYNnovation Expo last week! ☺️

Our Director, Farooq, and I (Clarine) had a huge day at the booth! It was a big one for me as it was my first ever expo with .

We loved meeting so many local providers and even caught a glimpse of Günsberg, Jacobs, and Michelle Dickinson on stage.

A big thank you to the organisers and to City Council for such a great event at the Werribee Racing Club.
