There are seasons in life when business can wait.
This was one of them.
For weeks, my life became hospital visits, long days, little sleep, unfamiliar routines and being there for my mom.
And now, having lost her, I’m realizing just how much those days mattered.
I didn’t want to be thinking about whether I could take time away from work.
I didn’t want to ask permission to be where I needed to be.
I didn’t want my income to depend entirely on whether I showed up somewhere, sat at a desk, or clocked in.
I wanted to be present.
And that’s one thing I’m incredibly grateful for about the platform I’ve built.
It didn’t disappear because life got hard.
It kept moving in the background while I did what mattered most.
It gave me room to step away when my family needed me—and come back when I was ready.
That doesn’t mean this business is effortless.
It means I intentionally built something that gives me flexibility.
And right now, that’s worth more to me than I can put into words.
Life doesn’t always give us a warning before everything changes.
Build something that leaves room for the life you’re actually living. 🤍
