Meet Christina of Little Shuswap Band (Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw First Nation), a 2025–2026 Superior Propane Indigenous Student Bursary recipient.

Christina is pursuing a Social Work degree at the University of Victoria, with a goal of supporting Indigenous individuals and families through culturally safe services. The bursary is helping ease her education costs while also allowing her to put a portion toward her daughter's future education.

At 60, Jacqueline returned to Simon Fraser University to pursue a Human Resources Management Certification. Her goal is to support her Saulteau First Nations community, encourage Indigenous leadership and help create career opportunities for future generations.

The design we’re sharing reflects this meaning. The feather, narwhal and flower represent First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, while the stars honour the children who never returned home. Flowing lines represent the connections between land, water, communities and generations, and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
