🐻 COMMUNITY NOTICE – BEAR AWARENESS 🐻

Please be reminded that bears are active in and around the community at this time of year. We all play an important role in preventing human-wildlife conflict.

Here are a few important reminders:
• Do not leave garbage or food waste outdoors.
• Pick fruit as soon as it ripens.
• Clean BBQs and grease traps after use.
• Feed pets indoors and keep pets inside at night.
• Remove or secure anything that may attract bears.

Please also remember:
⚠️ Do not approach bears for any reason.
⚠️ Shooting bears and discharging fi****ms within the community is strictly prohibited.

If you encounter an aggressive bear, contact the BC Conservation Officer Service:
📞 1-877-952-7277

Let’s work together to keep both our community and wildlife safe.
