Perth Line 43 closed about one-kilometre east of Perth Rd. 119 in Stratford, due to a large fallen tree blocking all lanes. Crews are on-site to remove the tree and clear the roadway, which may take around two hours. Please avoid the area by using use alternate routes. Expect potential traffic delays in the area. Updates to follow.

🚸 Crosswalk Safety Reminder 🚸

A reminder to all drivers and pedestrians in Ontario:

Drivers must stop and yield to pedestrians at marked crosswalks, school crossings, and pedestrian crossovers. At pedestrian crossovers, vehicles must remain stopped until pedestrians have completely crossed the roadway.

Pedestrians are reminded to use designated crossings whenever possible and obey all pedestrian signals.

Let’s all do our part to keep our roads safe — especially for children, seniors, and families in our community. Slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians.

🚨 Slow Down. Move Over. Save Lives. 🚨

In Ontario, the Move Over Law isn’t just a rule — it’s about protecting the people who put themselves on the line every day to keep our roads safe.

If you see emergency vehicles, tow trucks, or road crews stopped on the roadside with flashing lights:
- Slow down
- Move over to the next lane if it’s safe

Penalties for not following the law are serious:
- Fines ranging from $400 to $2,000
- 3 demerit points
- Possible driver’s licence suspension for repeat offences

These workers deserve to make it home to their families, just like you do. A few seconds of caution can prevent a lifetime of regret.

Let’s all do our part. Stay alert, stay respectful, and give them the space they need.
