Autumn signals a return to cooler temperatures, more time outdoors, and preparations. Now is the time to make sure homes and families are ready for the upcoming holidays and winter weather both indoors and out. Over the past few years the island has had more and more power outages then before as well as snow fall. A small reminder from Spectre Security to everyone one the island.
Check your emergency supplie kits both in home and in your vehicle. If you don't have an emergency kit, build one. Here is some basics to think about when building a kit for both your home and vehicle.
Home kit
-at least three days' worth of water and non-perishable food
- a first aid kit
- a battery-powered or hand-crank radio
- a flashlight with extra batteries
- a manual can opener
- sanitation and personal hygiene items.
- any important documents.
