Autumn signals a return to cooler temperatures, more time outdoors, and preparations. Now is the time to make sure homes and families are ready for the upcoming holidays and winter weather both indoors and out. Over the past few years the island has had more and more power outages then before as well as snow fall. A small reminder from Spectre Security to everyone one the island.

Check your emergency supplie kits both in home and in your vehicle. If you don't have an emergency kit, build one. Here is some basics to think about when building a kit for both your home and vehicle.

Home kit
-at least three days' worth of water and non-perishable food
- a first aid kit
- a battery-powered or hand-crank radio
- a flashlight with extra batteries
- a manual can opener
- sanitation and personal hygiene items.
- any important documents.
( Customize your kit with medications, infant supplies, and pet supplies as needed, and store it in an easy-to-access location)
- heating packs

Vehicle ket.
- first-aid kit
- flashlight
- jump cables
- tools,
- non-perishable snacks for every person and pet that rides in your vehicle regularly.
- blankets
- seasonal supplies such as an ice scraper or sand for traction, Snow shovel.
- a extra phone charger
- extra batteries
- a change of warm clothes.
- Heating packs

Stay safe and remember being prepared for what might happen won't kill you and you will be thinking yourself if you have something like this ready.

Well a few days ago was Spectre Security Inc's 3 year birthday of the first shift we worked. Over the past 3 years we have had ups and downs and have learned alot and built some amazing partnerships. I just want to take a minute to say thanks to all of our employees and partners across Vancouver Island as without you this wouldn't have happened.

Here's to another year of providing a level of Security services I have never been able to in the past.

Gord has been a big part of our team for some time now. He has taken the time to learn and develop his skills and abilities and has become a great District Manager. It has been a pleasure to see him grow as a employee and also a manager. Keep up the great work Gord

Do you own a small business or even a large business in the Duncan area? Do you want to have peace of mind that you're property is being checked on throughout the night? Well Spectre Security has the answer for you.

As of April 01/2024 we have started a program we are calling Night Watch Patrol Duncan. It's a footpatrol over night for 8 hours. Our security specialists will spend time on your property 4 to 6 times a night. Our team is trained to check all doors and windows on each check to insure your property is secured for the night. Our security specialists will remove anyone Loitering. You will also receive a daily shift report with anything Our team notices.

Hello everyone we just wanted to take a minute to discuss one of our long time staffmembers who has worked his way up our ranks.

Gordon Pelkey has not only worked with us since Oct of 2022 but he worked with both the Co-founders on a previous project. Gordon has well over 15 years in the security industry in various security departments. He came to us with a drive that many people don't have and quickly became a big part of our team. He is now our Mid-Island District Manager leading a team of around 15 Security Specialists and servicing around 10 clients and growing his District on a daily basis.

We would like to take a minute to congratulate one of our youngest Team members who has moved up our ranks in a vary short time do to his work ethic and drive to develop his skills.

Just over a year ago we got a call from a young man interested in the security industry and we told him how to get a security license and to call us back once he got his license. thankfully he returned to us once he was licensed and started almost right away. over the past year his drive to learn as much as he could has moved himself all the way up our ranks to the title of South-island District Manager in training. all I can say is look out people this young man will definitely be the future of this industry.

We would like to take a moment to thank and congratulate Kendra Currie.

Kendra started in the security industry 4 or 5 years ago working under Spectre Securitys Founders Mic Bourgeault and Stephen Wagner. Over this years she has always shown drive and pride in her position. She has always shown interest in the safety and development of herself and other employees. Do to this she has been promoted to our First ever Human Resource Supervisor.

So congratulations Kendra it's been a honor to see ypu grow within our ranks .
