So someone put together a "Best Anne" list, and we have to say it seems pretty true to what most fans would rank them.

is of course the clear number one ... but 2 and 3 could be swapped back and forth depending who you ask.

One starred in a very faithful adaptation, the other a darker and edgier story ... both with fans and critics alike.

So let us know, who you think played a better Anne: or ?

"'Rilla of Ingleside' came today - my eleventh book! It looks very well. I don't suppose it will be much of a success, for the public are said to be sick of anything connected with the war. But at least I did my best to reflect the life we lived in Canada during those four years. It is dedicated to Frede's memory. I wish she could have read it. It is the first one I have written with a purpose..." ❤️
