First Canadian Place welcomed Tafelmusik for an intimate pop-up concert celebrating the enduring beauty of Baroque music.

Performed on period instruments, works by Handel, Purcell, and Maria Teresa Agnesi came to life through Tafelmusik ’s virtuosic musicians—transforming an ordinary moment in the heart of downtown Toronto into something extraordinary.

A beautiful reminder that great music has the power to transcend centuries—and surprise us where we least expect it.

This week, First Canadian Place is bringing strategy, friendly competition and connection to the Financial District with KNIGHTCAP.

From September 21–25, the Chess Lounge is open to our community to play, watch and learn—whether they’re picking up the game for the first time or are ready to take on an International Master.

The week features open play, a beginner chess skills workshop, a simultaneous exhibition, and Checkmate Social, an after-hours event to close out the festivities.

These larger-than-life sculptures are built entirely from canned food by talented teams from the design, architecture, and engineering communities.

The impact goes far beyond the art. After the exhibition, every can is donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank to help support thousands across the GTA ❤️ Since 1999, Canstruction® Toronto has helped donate more than 1 million pounds of food locally — and over 50 million pounds globally through events in 150+ cities worldwide.
