Barry Harris (Vocals, Songwriter, Producer, Keyboards, Guitar) Wrote & produced Kon Kan's hits "I Beg Your Pardon", "Harry Houdini" "Move To Move" "Liberty!" ""Am I In Love"& "Sinful Wishes". It was Kon Kan's debut album, "Move to Move", which spawned a # 15 hit in the U.S.A. & Top 5 around the world with the single "I Beg Your Pardon
," which sampled Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden." Harris hired acquaintance Kevin Wynn to sing on a few songs Harris wrote for the "Move To Move" L.P. & produced the L.P. with Jon Lind, Dennis Matkosky & Mark Goldenberg in L.A. '89
Kon Kan's first live performance was October 1988 (Barry Harris with Kevin Wynne & Kim Esty) and toured the U.S. Harris continued with his Kon Kan brand writing, producing & taking over full lead vocal duties on 1990's "Syntonic" L.P. featuring "Liberty" with hired singer Debbe Cole & together as Kon Kan they toured Brazil summer of 1991.
1993 Harris wrote, sang, produced & recorded the "Vida! released only in Canada w singles “Sinful Wishes” & "S.O.L.".
1994 Harris re records "Pardon Me/I Beg Your Pardon" and issues various House remixes on the Hi-Bias label.
2014 Harris re records "I Beg Your Pardon" - Barry Harris Presents Kon Kan & commissions new remixes on the Swishcraft label released world-wide.
2016 Harris claims & manages the Kon Kan Artist Spotify page.
2018 Harris claims & manages the Kon Kan Apple Music page.
2020 Harris releases Kon Kan's "Vida!" L.P. with additional previously unreleased remixes digitally to the world.
2021 Kon Kan releases "Arias & Symphonies" - a cover version originally by Canada's "The Spoons".
2023 Harris releases "Stars" by Kon Kan
2023 October Kon Kan (Barry Harris) performs live in B.C. on the "Strange Spoons Tour" with Canada's Strange Advance & The Spoons
2024 Kon Kan Live Band line up (Barry Harris Lead Vocals), Kimberley Wetmore (Vocals), Christian McFadden (Vocals, Bass, Keyboards), Adam Weatherup (Guitar), Michael Beauclerc (Drums/Percussion) debuts LIVE in Toronto, Ontario @ Ground Control April 5th.
